Good music

There are some good musics that you can find here in Portugal and since Portugal won yesterday the Eurovision contest now I would like to say something about the guy that everybody talks about. Salvador Sobral is a jazz singer and he won Eurovision 2017 with the beautiful song «Amar pelos dois», wrote by his sister, Luisa Sobral. On the last few years Eurovision never had so much audience as this year. We usualy don’t even know who’s representing Portugal but this year it was different. The rules in Festival da Canção changed and it became more appealing to the public. A few songwriters were invited to write a song and they could choose their singer. All the songwriters have their own career and bands and they come from completely different backgrounds, like jazz, musicals, indie alternative, folk or pop.  There was some good stuff but everybody felt in love with «Amar pelos dois» since the begining. Luisa Sobral, also a jazz singer/songwriter, decided to write something for her brother and the rest is history. But Salvador is not just Eurovision and he has some beautiful songs that I would love to share with you. «Nem eu» and «Excuse me» are beautiful and I hope you like it. Enjoy it.

Neither am I  («Nem eu» lyrics)

You aren’t doing anyone’s a favor by loving someone | Neither am I, neither am I,  neither am I | Who invented love wasn’t me | Wasn’t me, wasn’t me, wasn’t me, or anyone  | Love happens in life  |  You were not expecting, and by chance me neither  | And because hap is important, my dear  | From our lives, life made an hap as well |     You aren’t doing anyone’s a favor by loving someone  | Neither am I, neither am I, neither  am I  | Who invented love wasn’t me, wasn’t me  | Wasn’t me, wasn’t me,                   wasn’t me, or anyone
